AlphaVertexColor producing strange results

I'm using this shader, unmodified: http://unifycommunity.com/wiki/index.php?title=AlphaVertexColor

I've set the constant color to white, but the final color rendered doesn't match the vertex colors in the mesh. Instead, I'm getting this:

INPUT -> OUTCOME

magenta -> magenta

blue -> red

red -> blue

cyan -> yellow

green -> green

yellow -> cyan

Any ideas as to why this would be happening?

Not without more info. Please provide a .unitypackage.

I have a unitypackage, how/where should I upload it?

It's worth noting that I'm not the first to have this issue, here are two examples: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/21739/strange-result-when-modifying-mesh-colors http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/49941-Vectrosity-fast-and-easy-line-drawing/page10 (look for posts by CBif)

We are having same strange issue; when you render the object by itself its colors are correct, but as soon as you are also rendering another object (or a second instantiation of the first object) the red and blue components of the vertex colors are swapped.

You could use any hosting service you like. I tend to use my $$anonymous$$obile$$anonymous$$e account. I'd recommend using the forum, and linking back here, as this site is too lame to provide for us properly. >:-(

However, from what I'm seeing, it looks like an issue with vertex colors/lighting and dynamic batching on Windows, which is buggy.

Is turning off dynamic batching the best solution? What sort of performance effect will it have?
