This post was from a couple of years ago.. @smirlianos do you know of any other solutions other than doing screen grabs that has been released since? Ideally there is an add on that allow this?

Hi @Archden As I wrote below if you have got your scene where you don't need to use your keyboard, mouse or any other input (your scene is animation) you may use Renderator PRO to get you asset or game trailer in highest resolution including 4k 60 FPS or more. Please see this topic for more information, there are many videos with results and "How To"

You can't export it as video directly and there isn't a standart solution for that. I recommend using a video capture program. You can find many with a simple search (Fraps is my favourite). The other way is to take a screenshot for every frame and make them video by a software (Windows Movie Maker is the easiest). You can use CaptureScreenshot function in Update() for that.

Note you also want to set Time.captureFramerate to your desired framerate (probably 25), and then use Application.CaptureScreenshot() in Update() with appropriate filenames, to ensure the ti$$anonymous$$g is correct, independent of your actual framerate during capturing.

Disclaimer: This is not a performance-friendly approach. In most cases, you'll want your preferred video capturing software handling the back-end legwork (it's what it's designed for,) not the unity engine.

I don't think you can do that. You re going to have to play the scene and record it using a video capture program like Fraps
