2D game!URGENT HELP!

I've got a 2d game but i made it out of a first person player so it looks like a 2d side scroller but every so often there is a force that pushes me off the edge.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Select your rigidbody on your player. Check lock Position the 3rd dimension(probably x) you are falling to.

I assume you are moving on z and y axis.So locking x will probably solve the problem.If you are not sure which one just try them all one by one :)

Did you also freezed rotation to the angle which u are falling.Ur charater might not be moving to that side but it might still bend down to that angle by pshyx.Try freezing the rotation too and see if it works.

if it doesnt work try attaching following code to the game object.it locks x position of the gameobejct to the lockPos value.(You can change x to something else if you need y,z etc)

 float lockPos = 0;
 void Update(){
     transform.position =  new Vector3(lockPos ,transform.position.y,transform.position.z);
 }
