Simulate cloth tear

Hi, could someone tell me how to simulate cloth tear using interactive cloth? I have the cloth being held by two cubes and a sphere with a huge initial velocity traversing it. The sphere goes through it but does not leave any trace (mesh tearing). How can I get that mesh tearing?

I think I figured it out. The sphere wasn’t large enough to create a hole. I scaled it up quite a bit then got the mesh to tear.
