How do i drag a javascript file to a camera?

Refer to 3d platform game tutorial...

when i drag the springfollowcamera javascript file it does not appear to do anything. HeLP! Thanks!

have you clicked on the camera to check it is there and is enabled

You can always click on the item, up top it'll have the components, go to scripts, and then add it that way.

I tried that. I click NearCamera. Then I go to Component, third Person Camera -> spring follow camera, and then click it....... and nothing happens.

I actually got a little confused by this too (I'm also new to Unity =S). The SpringFollowCamera script will show up in the inspector after you drag it onto the NearCamera object in the Hierarchy. It doesn't show up in the actual Hierarchy window.
