Game lags in fixed intervals

Hey, I played my game today and for any reason the game lags in fixed intervals ... every ~ 5 seconds it stucks and runs after than normal again. Any idea what can cause this problem?

Please help!

Do you have Unity pro? If you do you can use the Profiler to pinpoint any performance issues.

Not enough info. Can you make a smaller sample project that does the same thing? Often pulling stuff out helps.

What are you doing in your Update methods?

What have you done to try and narrow it down?

In the Update function is just something for underwaterview, but this isn't the problem ... nothing I didn't find the problem, so i can't do anything against it.

You might try calling forcing a garbage collection every 1/2 second to 1 second and see if it mitigates the problem:

 System.GC.Collect();

If it does, take a look at memory allocation during Update() and FixedUpdate().

I found out that it might have something to do with VSync ...
