Unity Pro Shadows

Dear Unity Community I have been working on my project in unity pro and have stumbled across a problem. I added in a directional light, turned on Hard shadows but no shadows will show up. I have the graphics on fantastic and have quite alot of objects in the scene. Even though there could be alot of things that is causing my problem can someone just outline a possible fix.

You must also change the direction of directional light(rotate it), as this affects the objects from an angle so they cast the shadows.

Also one more thing you must remember you must have object on which shadow is rendered. I mean just try this. ->Create an empty Scene ->Create a simple Cube(reset the transform component of cube)(Name-it-Cube1) ->Add A Directional Light ->In the directional Light,Select shadow type->Hard shadows. Now you will see no shadows currently , ->But add another cube as a platform below that cube you will see the shadow of the Cube1 on the platform. I am attaching two images so you can get idea.

You might need to make sure the objects in your scene have "Cast Shadows" set to true. There needs to be objects with this set otherwise no shadows will be shown.

Cobalt60: Can you please update your question with a screenshot to your scene. This will help give some visual information which may be helpful to solving this issue. Thanks!

O$$anonymous$$ guys so for some reason I turned on Unity today and the shadows are now working? Did I do something to turn off all my pro features for a day? Well any way the answer to my problem is I guess just stop and wait....

You could also have an occlusion problem. If the engine thinks it's occluded it might not have a shadow or cast a shadow. Try running occlusion first before lighting.
