Missing Push Notification Entitlement issue in Unity3d

Hello Guys,

Yesterday i uploaded game in app store, but i got this issue when i submit binary,.

We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for “App Name”. Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery:

Missing Push Notification Entitlement - Your app appears to include API used to register with the Apple Push Notification service, but the app signature’s entitlements do not include the “aps-environment” entitlement. If your app uses the Apple Push Notification service, make sure your App ID is enabled for Push Notification in the Provisioning Portal, and resubmit after signing your app with a Distribution provisioning profile that includes the “aps-environment” entitlement. See “Provisioning and Development” in the Local and Push Notification Programming Guide for more information. If your app does not use the Apple Push Notification service, no action is required. You may remove the API from future submissions to stop this warning. If you use a third-party framework, you may need to contact the developer for information on removing the API.

If you would like to update your binary for this app, you can reject this binary from the Binary Details page in iTunes Connect. Note that rejecting your binary will remove your app from the review queue and the review process will start over from the beginning when you resubmit your binary.

My game dont use push notification. How can i resolve this problem?

Thanks…

I have your answer - it’s just a warning.

It is absolutely harmless.

I can confirm this from many recent submissions and updates.

if you “just mention” PushNotification somewhere in your code - i.e., if you include a push notification library - but do not actually use it … you will get that warning.

Note for example on Prime31’s page there is a recent notice:

“it appears Apple’s automated scanners have again started to incorrectly scan and detect push notification code that isn’t touched…” etc

Since you’ve already submitted, just leave it. No point losing a day in the queue.

(It’s running right on 7 calendar days right now BTW.)

If you feel like it, find in your codebase where you have Push libraries, and delete 'em.

(I agree with Mike D that the scanners have gone a bit haywire. Just for the heck of it we super-carefully removed any such libraries etc - but I still got the warning on one submission! I don’t know enough about how Apple’s scanners work to know what else would trigger it.)

There are a couple questions here and there on the forum etc about this issue.

I have not added any Push Notification code in my app but still I got this warning…
I don’t know what to remove, and I don’t feel to setup the entitlements since I don’t use Notifications at all.

That’s weird…
