$$anonymous$$ORE DETAIL!!! Your asking: I want to bake a cake, I have never done it before, tell me how. What you should be asking: I want to bake a lemon cake. I have tried this, I have looked this up. Nothing has turned out the way I want it. This is the way I want it. This is what I currently have, this is what I want to end up with.

See the difference?

I think the question is about making a selection circle around an object, like units in a RTS game. But I'm not quite sure.

sorry, my english is bad , i am afraid that i will confuse you guy, so....now ,i want to draw a road, but the plane is huge, and the texture si small, so the effect is not good. i try it before. now my problem is: i want the road texture to be created around an object automatically, the player is rotate this object. so the road i want to draw is round. it will be created in frond of the player. how you can understand. forgive my poor english.

@canonner What does a road have to do with drawing circles using textures? If this is a different question, don't post it as a comment, AS$$anonymous$$ another question. If this has been answered, please accept the correct answer :)

Draw or find a "ring" texture with a transparent inside (and outside.) That's totally a non-Unity thing (Gimp, photoshop, ... ,) so can look up anywhere.

Put the ring texture on a Plane object. Make sure the Material uses a transparent shader. If it works, you should have a see-through circle (from only one side, may need to spin around it to see.)

Then put the plane gameObject on you. Maybe child it, or use code to set position. Scale so it fits around.

If might look fine flat (like when you target a monster in an MMO.) If you want it to always be "around" the object, look up in UnityAnswers "How to make a billboard face the camera."
