Blender - Animations - Unity

Hello, I'm very new to animations and it's really hard for me to make them look good. I'm working on animations for an FPS hand. I need different animations such as Idle, Grab, CloseHand, OpenHand and so on.

Question: Do I also have to make switch animations? If I change from streched hand to fist, how would I do this? My idle animation is ready and I wonder how this looks, when I change it to a "Wave" animation. Do I have to animate the crossover from "idle" to "wave"? And idle has 40 frames, how does the switch animation know how to move without lags?

I think this question is kinda stupid.. but that's my first time I use animations.

I hope someone can help me with this. I watched some videos but they always only used 1 animation.. too less for me :S

Thanks in advance :)

Unity amazingly blends them for you. Pls read the dock on animations.

I found Animations.CrossFade, that's awesome. I have another problem now. I have only 1 animation source in blender. Frame 1-40 Anim1, Frame 41-80 Anim2 and so on. The first animation fails.. it flickers (it's a loop). The second one is nice (also a loop). In blender both work great. I have no idea.. I also tried "Add Loop Frame" but I don't even know what that is for. Any idea how to solve this?

I had to set the frames to 0-38 and 40-78

Nobody knows why, but it worked :D
