Holding items like amnesia

Alright so in my game the player can pick up items and drop them with the left click mouse button. Please any help would be nice code, video link ect.

When you say "in my game the player can pick up items and drop them" do you actually mean that it does it already or is it what you require from theanswer, meaning you want us to do that for you.

well i would say just let a script attach the object to your camera it will automaticly update the angle and the position along the camera

 yourgameobject.transform.parent = Camera.main.transform;
 
 
 //then maybe make some adjustments with setting the localposition of the object
 
 yourgameobject.Transform.localPosition = Vector3 (0, 0, 0);
 
 
 //and done ;)
 
 well you have to replace the 0's with the coordinates you want to have

i was pretty sure the question author wanted to know how to write a script that picks up items like in amnesia since the titles says it ^^ i mean what else could he mean?
