Hit problem unity

Hi, I'm making a racing game, when my car hits a wall it approximately stops,(like car tutorial project in unity site) even if it hits it with the side,it's not like any race game i've seen before. I would like to know if there is anyway on making that the car decreases it speed and "bounce" but still be able to continue running unless it hits the wall with the front. I mean better than car tutorial project in unity site =)) best regards

Try changing the Material in the collider to 'Bouncy' and see what happens. You may have to do: Assset/Inport Package/Physic Materials to get the 'Bouncy' physic material. If this works, you can then create your own material that has the physic properties that you want in terms of slowing the car down.
