Why do i lose the ability to place a Lens Flare where i want when i set it to directional since last update ?

Question

I create an empty object put a Lens flare component on it then I can use transform place it where I want but as soon as I check directional it goes all the way at the end of my scene and does not follow transform anymore.

I used to be able to place directional lens flares where I wanted to with the transform but since last update I get this ... ?

with directional flares you can't use the transform same with the light source itself. it depends on the rotation. rotate it to the place where you want it to be and it should be all good. hope that answers your question.

I put the lens flare in an empty game object then I want to place it but I can't if its directional , I used to do that and be able to place anywhere I wanted in 3d space now it seems I cannot... :(
