Skybox gets blurred and cartoonish

Question

Sorry if the question was not worded well, but I am having problems with the unity skyboxes. Here is a picture of the problem:

This is the sunny3 skybox. It happens with all the other skyboxes also. If I create a new project, they are fine. I tried reimporting them and also copying the skyboxes from a new project into this one.

Check the import settings for each image in your skybox and make sure it is identical to the import settings of the images in a new Unity project.

They were the same. I tried messing with the import settings and I set it to cursor and it was fine. I still want to find out what was wrong though.
