Why are My Alien Zombies Swimming?

I craeated an Alien Zombie in Max 8 but when he animates in Unity he does it face down kind of like he's swimming even though he starts of in his "T" stand position, anyone know why this would be happening? I've been trying to solve that issue for weeks now.

NOTE: all his test animations worked out fine it just when I add his AI script he does this, it's very frustrating not knowing the answer to this problem.

UPDATE: I finally got this problem solved" http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/46748/im-still-searching-for-an-answer-to-this-charcater-animation-problem

If the test animations work, and this happens only when you add the AI script, then I'd venture to suggest that it's a problem with the AI script. We will not be able to debug it for you without seeing the relevant bits of that script. What are the relevant bits? Dunno -- comment out chunks of it until you find the one that causes the problem.

This is kinda obvious, but did you try to freeze rotation on the rigidbody? (assuming thats how youre handling it)

Obvious if you know I guess, but I don't so how does one do that? Although I don't think my alien has a ridgidbod, except maybe his character controller??? Dunno, Im green as hell with this stuff ;)

I should also mention that the Robots in the FPS tutorial also do NOT apear to have ridged bodies attached to them, in fact it's basically a slightly modified version of their AI script I'm using for my Alien Zombies, BUT, when I try it I get horizontally, face down swim$$anonymous$$g Zombies! ???

If youre using a character controller you're not likely to be using a rigidbody, its usually one or the other (though the character controller does cost more resource-wise)...$$anonymous$$y experience with animations is very small, so I cant be much help there, but what if you write a script to force a 90 degree rotation? Its not really a permenant fix, but its definitely a band-aid while you root out the main issue or continue development and worry about this particular issue later.

also, have you tried placing your model in the FPS tutorial with the AI the robots use? That might give you insight as to whether its a problem with your script or with your model/animations.

That's basically the script I am using is the one from the FPS tutorial, I've only gone in and changed the names of the animations to the animations for my Alien Zombies and I still get Swim$$anonymous$$g horizontal zombie, someone must have an answer for this?
