Play mode shows blue

When I enter play mode on the Island Demo created by Unity, it only shows blue. If I go to Build & Run then I am able to play the game. Why is play mode blue and how do I fix it in the Island Demo on Unity 4.2?

Make sure that you are in a scene. In the project view select the level you should be in.

Go File > Open Scene

and select your scene.

If you don't do that when you switch to a new project it will be a blank scene.
