Texture quality loss, no mip maps

I have textures in our game that look good as long as I stay up close with the camera but look very blurry when I get further away. In the import settings, I do have mip maps turned off so I am not sure as to why it still looks so blurry. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if I need more details about my settings.

  • Additional Details which may or may not make a difference:

  • Scene is being rendered using a render texture, that is the camera being zoomed in and out.

  • Most of the tests I tried were using Sprite Manager 2.

  • Quality settings are at maximum.

  • iPhone/iPad game

  • Not an artist

EDIT: Apparently lowering the resolution of the sprite atlases helped for some reason. Can anyone explain that?

Figured out the problem. Render Texture was set too low.

put that aniso lvl to 8 itll look alot better.
