Issues with material on terrain

Question

I am having issues with adding material to the terrain, when applied to the terrain it appears in tiles as opposed to appearing a single texture covering the terrain.Please could any one advise? Thanks

Its probably because the texture is lit differently on one side, you need to get a texture with the same lighting on it, and also both the bottom and sides have to line up when it is tiled.
