A Question about Gray image to normal map.

In unity editor, I select a image and change it texture type to normal map in inspector.

And then, I select "create from grayscale".

My question is... it can work on pc, but it cannot work correctlly on IPAD.

Is this a bug? or I need to set other option? PC version:

which shader is used on both platforms? Are we talking about iPad or iPad2?

I use "bumped diffuse" shader. And, I deploy it on ipad4.

I know what happened about this problem. Normal mapping is pixel light effect, so it needs to set "Pixel light Count" more then 1 in quality settings.

I assume you know the differences about normal pas and bump maps, because, with "create from grayscale" you are intentionally downgrading a normal map to bump map. Bump map only works of two colors.

"The bumped diffuse works, question is if you followed its limitation which is a single directional light"
