GUI Buttons Not Responding

I have a GUILayout.window but when I press the button for the basic sword in the window it does not register that it was pressed, but It shows up just fine. Here that section of the script;

 if(hasBasicSword){
      if(GUILayout.Button(SwordIcons[0], GUILayout.Width(60), GUILayout.Height(60))){
                 BasicSword();
                 Debug.Log("Pressed Button");
             }
         }

Currently the only button I have set up is the basic sword. I have also had this issue with another window in another project.

I'm challenging myself to finish the game in a month, so some help as soon as possible would be nice.

Also once I am done this GUI and a couple $$anonymous$$or things I should be ready to do a WIP forum thread.

Does hovering over the button work? (Does it show the OnHover style?)

As a test, what happens if you comment out "GUI.skin = InventoryGUISkin;" and let it use the default skin? $$anonymous$$aybe it's a skin issue.

@lancer - not getting answers is usually about the how well the questions is asked. You provided a long, semi-complicated script using GUILayout which is not usual. Often providing a simplified script can get you faster/better answers.

I ran your script. The only change I made was to comment out line 53 (GUI.skin = InventoryGUISkin;). It ran fine.

On the left, top of the console window are a row of buttons. If the one with an '!' is not enabled, you will not get Debug.Log() statements.
