Hands/Arms getting stretched on rotation

Hi, I had to make hands that can hold a sword in the game. I found a tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUQuHf8M9XQ

and followed steps. I created the hands and moved it beneath Main Camera game object in hierarchy. But as I look up/down the hands get stretched that I do not want. Please watch the photo I uploaded to see how it looks like. Kindly tell me how to stop that .alt text it is stretcing like this alt text This is how i want it to be always whether i look up or down

Looks like a local scaling issue, to me. Do you happen to have either the object the hand mesh is connected to, or one of its parents scaled along the y-axis? If so, chances are that's what's causing this.

It's usually a god practice to not mess with scaling of game objects, as it tends to have some fairly adverse effects, if you're not wary of them.

Sir thanks for this prompt reply. I am attaching a hierarchy of arms. I haven't played anything with scaling. Sir I am not getting this point of yours "Do you happen to have either the object the hand mesh is connected to, or one of its parents scaled along the y-axis? If so, chances are that's what's causing this."
