Question by shygeek · Sep 05, 2013 at 09:36 AM · texturecrashvideolimitsimultaneous

Application gets hanged or crashes when I upload all my 11 videos and simultaneous detection of 3 targets

I'm making a project in Unity 3D. It has eleven videos and two audio files.I have to ensure simultaneous detection of three image targets and they have to play on texture on single click and not going to full screen directly. But t$$anonymous$$s is not possible as the application gets crashed and I have to compromise on the limit of files.Does anyone have a solution for t$$anonymous$$s??Please help

Your question is very confusing to follow. Could you be more precise as to what you are doing, what is happening and what should happen?

Thanks BenProductions1 for replying. I'm using the libraries of Vuforia.I have used the sample image target and video prefab. What I really want to do is playing a video on Texture.I want simultaneous detection of 3 image targets and I have such multiple targets in one scene.I've attached the snapshot to give you a better view.Do tell if you want to know something more.Thank you

Does unity give any reason for the crash? Does it take some time before it crashes? If so then you might be running out of memory. How large are your videos?

No.Unity doesn't give any reason for the crash. As soon as I click on play it gets hanged for sometime(like 5 sec)and gets crashed.I'm not running out of memory I double checked it.All my videos are max upto 45mb.But hear this I unchecked three image targets(reduce 11 to 8) and everything works just fine.Is there a limit to no. of videos ?? But I really have to keep all of them in my project so removing some of them is not an option.Thank you

The only thing I can come up with is running out of memory. Remember that the video is decompressed (I think, but maybe not) when it's loaded into memory. Try monitoring the memory usage of Unity. Other than that I think someone with experience in Vuforia would be of more help :)

The solution is to s$$anonymous$$ft to a cloud database instead of device database in Vuforia. In t$$anonymous$$s way all the image targets and videos will stay on a cloud and the application size reduces considerably
