How to import pixel perfect clear textures?

Hello Unity Answers,

I've been trying to get my textures to be pixel perfect and clean for quite awhile now but I still get a lot of anomalies appearing on the texture, as seen in the picture below:

I've read online about it a fair bit and I've done essentially every step to achieve pixel perfect clean textures:

  • Point Filtering

  • Making the image always to the power of 2 eg (32x32, 64x64, 128x128)

  • Disabled mitmaps

Here's a screenshot of it in in the inspector:

I'm not sure what else it could be, halp. :3

Try no compression.

Under Format select True Color

Use Bilinear Filter,Aniso Level - 2(atleast),No $$anonymous$$ipmap,Format - Automatic Truecolor.Apply these settings in default.

Aniso level 0 - perhaps?

Any modification of 'pixel perfect' texture will produce defects. The other thing to consider, when you export with your favourite image editor, make sure export quality is 100% and compression is 0%

@meat5000 unless you're using lossless compression, in which case 100% compression is just fine
