Question by nickpark1860 · Oct 22, 2013 at 07:18 AM · bug

When adding Rigidbody to my character, it flies upwards.

Hi guru. I have already searched some solutions to solve a problem which characters are overlapped each other. The solution I found was to add a rigidbody to each character. http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/292863/enemies-overlapping-each-other.html http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/272812/stop-rigidbodies-from-overlapping.html

However, after applying the rigidbody to my character, they starts to fly everywhere like a ball(?)..;ㅁ;

I gave 'Mass 60', checked 'Use Gravity' and Discrete for 'Collision Detection' I'm using a Capsule Collider for my character without any Material which means that it sets to None (Phsics Material).

Please give me some advice to fix this problem and thank you all in advance!!

How large are the objects approximately in Unity units? If one Unity unit is 1 meter, would your objects be of a realistic size?

Have you check the size(Radius/Height) of your Capsule Collider?

@ahbern the size(Radius/Height) of Capsule Collider are Radius 0.12 Height 1.

Is something wrong with the size? please give some advice

@mattssonon I increased the size of some units to fit with other characters. For example, my main character scale is x:1 y:1 z:1, but one of my enemy character is so small to use it, so I adjusted the scale of the unit twice bigger.

$$anonymous$$y main character is fine. The problem is when many monsters appear together and come in front of me. they are overlapped, so I applied the rigidbody not to be overlapped each other. and then it happened...

Under Edit/Project Settings/Physics, make sure the Y component of gravity is negative, like -9.81
