Terrain menu options

Question

I'm new to Unity and I'm doing the Lynda.com training right now. The instructor is using 3.5 and I am using 4.2. It looks like the Terrain menu has been taken out in this version. I've figured out how to create a new terrain, but I'm wondering how to set the resolution on it, as well as the other features that were in that menu.

Those things are in the terrain settings tab now.

Everything is set up in the inspector panel now. When you click on the terrain object in your hierarchy panel, you can see a bit down mountains, a brush and similar. That is the terrain tools now. I would recommend watching these:

This will give you a great understanding on the terrain!
