Change player colors using uv mapping

I'm working a multiplayer game. I'd like to have 4 players with different colors. We're targeting a mobile platform, so draw calls are an issue. I'm having some trouble understanding how I can leverage a texture atlas to reduce my draw calls in this situation. I may be totally off base here... but can I use one texture atlas for 4 players, and simply shift it around to get the different colors? If I want to do this, will I have to create 4 different prefabs, or can I use one prefab and shift the colors programmatically?

You could create different prefabs. You could use a material/shader combination that's able to shift colors. You could swap UVs, either with several meshes that you import separately or one mesh that you edit dynamically. Unless there's a compelling reason to pick one method over the other, I'd handle it using whichever tool you're most comfortable with.
