True false value mixed up in onUpdate

Hi, I have recently starting to learn unity, I have some problem that I don't understand, the value of mouseCliced is false as I set it at the beginning, but after click I wish to set it to true, and then the problem starts, it prints that the value of mouseCliced is true and false at the same time, how is it possible?

 public class Button1 : MonoBehaviour {

     float movespeed = 0.5f;
     float menuspeed = 5f;

     bool mousEn = false;
     bool mouseCliced = false;

     GameObject iconNew;
     GameObject dropQuad;

     GameObject Mtx2;

     void Start ()
     {
         iconNew = GameObject.FindGameObjectWithTag("IconNew");
         dropQuad = GameObject.FindGameObjectWithTag("DropQuad1");

         Mtx2 = GameObject.FindGameObjectWithTag("Mtxt2");

     }

     void Update ()
     {

         if (mousEn && transform.position.z>-0.3f)
         {
             transform.Translate(Vector3.back * movespeed * Time.deltaTime);
         }
         else if (!mousEn && transform.position.z<0f)
         {
             transform.Translate(Vector3.forward * movespeed * Time.deltaTime);
         }

         Debug.Log(mouseCliced); //both false and true

         if (mouseCliced && Mtx2.transform.position.y>10f)
         {

             Mtx2.transform.Translate(Vector3.down * menuspeed * Time.deltaTime);

         }

         else if (!mouseCliced && Mtx2.transform.position.y!=12f)
         {

             Mtx2.transform.Translate(Vector3.up * menuspeed * Time.deltaTime);

         }

     }

     void OnMouseEnter()
     {
         renderer.material.color = Color.gray;
         mousEn = true;

     }

     void OnMouseExit()
     {
         renderer.material.color = Color.white;
         mousEn = false;

     }

     void OnMouseDown ()
     {
         mouseCliced = !mouseCliced;
     }

Not completely sure what you mean by "both false and true" since this obviously isn't possible. Can you show the debug.log messages?

The Update method runs each frame, so you should see a bunch of "false" messages until the mouse is clicked, then you should see a bunch of "true" messages.

Another possibility is that you have this same script attached to multiple objects.

You are using "Debug.Log(mouseCliced);" in the update function which will continuously log the boolean value.

put the statement inside the On$$anonymous$$ouseEnter()

   void On$$anonymous$$ouseDown ()
     {
        mouseCliced = !mouseCliced;

       //Log here
       Debug.Log(mouseCliced);
     }
