Problem with HitMaker?

Hello there , I'm having trouble with the HitMaker. Basically it works , but the variable "displayHits" isn't going true when I hit the enemy. Everything else works , as if I shoot the enemy it loose health. Any idea? :/

 var HitSound : GameObject;
 var HitHole : GameObject;
 var power : int;
 var HitParticleSpacing : float = 0.01;

 //HitMarker
 var HitMarker : Texture2D;
 var displayHits : boolean = false;

 function FixedUpdate ()
 {

 displayHits = false;

 }

 function Update ()
 {

 var fwd = transform.TransformDirection(Vector3.forward);
 var Hit : RaycastHit;

     if (Physics.Raycast(transform.position, transform.forward, Hit , Range))

        {

        if (HitParticle)

           {
           Instantiate(HitParticle, Hit.point + (Hit.normal * HitParticleSpacing), Quaternion.LookRotation(Hit.normal));
           }

        if (HitSound)

           {
           Instantiate(HitSound, Hit.point + (Hit.normal * HitParticleSpacing), Quaternion.LookRotation(Hit.normal));
           }
        }

        Destroy(gameObject);

        if (HitHole)

           {
           var  Hole = Instantiate(HitHole, Hit.point + (Hit.normal * HitParticleSpacing), Quaternion.LookRotation(Hit.normal));

           Hole.transform.parent = Hit.transform;

        if (Hit.rigidbody !=null)

                Hit.rigidbody.AddForceAtPosition(fwd * power, Hit.point);

           }

        if(Hit.rigidbody)
        {
        if(Hit.collider.gameObject.tag == "Enemy")
          {
             Hit.collider.SendMessageUpwards("ApplyDamage", Damage, SendMessageOptions.DontRequireReceiver);
             displayHits = true;
          }
          else
          {
          displayHits = false;
          }
        }
 }

 function OnGUI ()
 {

 if(displayHits == true)

 {
    GUI.Label(Rect(Screen.width/2 -32, Screen.height/2 -32, 200, 200), HitMarker);
 }

 }
