Could not preload global game manager #0

Does anybody know what this means. It happens when I try to make a standalone for windows? The webplayer works fine.

Actually I have had this problem too.. Just know that there is no one true solution for this problem, because there no one true cause.. This might happen due to many reasons, and you can find the problem by finding the solution first.. Try all of these solutions and see which one works for you

  • If you're uploading the files you built to an FTP server and then running the application from the files you downloaded from the FTP, DON'T !!.. Just build it locally and try to run it in the same computer.

  • If you have to upload it to an FTP, then set the default file type of the server to 'Binary'.

  • If that dint work for you, try building the project in different Unity versions ( preferably patch releases, and try at least 2-3 different versions before moving on ). This method worked for me ( Of Course my problem might be different than yours )

  • If that also dint work for you, then uninstall Unity, clean the registry with registry cleaner so that there is no trace of unity in your system. Reboot your OS before reinstalling unity. Now reinstall a stable version of Unity and try again. Hopefully this should be able to fix the issue.

It looks that this error comes from a problem in your .exe or associated data. Sometimes, rebuilding it should be ok. If you use a ftp to download it, zip it and change the name of the extension (exemple .blah ;) ) to transfer your file, then rename it correctly and extrat the files. It worked for me !
