Can't change Rigidbody2D mass

It seems that in Unity 4.3 you can’t set the mass of a Rigidbody2D at runtime - it just reverts to it’s original value. I’ve tested this and also found a forum thread quoting the same problem… wondering if anyone has found a work around for this or knows whether it will get fixed any time soon?

Someone said it used to work in the 4.3.0 alpha and beta. Perhaps it’s possible to get an older version of unity?

Someone also said it has already been fixed and will be in the next release. I couldn’t figure out when the next release will be, though.
