Question by jarl-ostensen · Nov 19, 2013 at 02:02 PM · iosxcodewindows

What should be the options visible to me when doing an iOS build on Windows?

Since it's not working properly I am wondering if there are options missing...? I have a Pro (+iPhone Pro) license and on Windows the iOS build settings look like so: alt text

I am not sure if I should expect something more...?

FOR ANYONE FROM UNITY: Have you actually tried the "build for iOS" on Windows and seen it working?

As far as I know, you can't build iOS on Windows, only on Mac and after you've got your dev license.

At least, that's what it told me last time I attempted it.

Well, with Unity 4.3 the release notes boldly state that you can build iOS on Windows and it does work...as in; it builds an XCode project. However (!) it doesn't seem to be complete and linker errors are thrown up (a lot of them); it seems not to include 3rd party libraries in the build files for example....

I can now confirm that this works for the "2D Demo" from Unity on the Asset store. So; perhaps this is about the versions of 3rd party packages included not being up-to-date...?

As it's a recent addition, time will tell :)

I assume you already have your iOS dev license?

You're probably right...best to wait a little. And yes; I've got the iOS dev license
