Cg tex2Dfetch

While compiling a shader with

  #pragma target 4.0 
  #pragma only_renderers d3d11
 ...
 
 half4 frag( v2f_img i ) : COLOR
 {
     ...
     c = tex2Dfetch(_MainTex, crd);
     ...
 }

I get

Shader warning in 'Custom/TestShader': Program 'vert_img', undeclared identifier 'tex2Dfetch' (compiling for d3d11) at line 47

I'm not sure when tex2Dfetch was added exactly but I know it goes back to at least Cg version 2.0 circa May 2008.

This should pretty trivially map to a HLSL Texture Object Load.

So why isn't it working?
