Galaxy Note 3 No Shadows

Hello everyone! This is bugging me for a long time now. I've extensively searched forums and UnityAnswers but to no avail. The problem is no realtime shadows from directional light on Galaxy Note 3. I've tried every suggested setting in 'Player' options, but still only on PC viewport i see shadows, but not on actual device. Galaxy note 3 has Adreno 330 GPU, so Tegra shadows limitations should not apply here. Anyone has a clue? I've seen one post stating that it could be a bug in GPU driver and we should wait for Qualcomm's update, but I find it hard to believe. Is this a situation for all recent adreno GPUs?

Are you using Hard Shadows? If not, you need pro according to this http://unity3d.com/unity/licenses.

I am pretty sure I have everything setup right. I am set to hard shadows, though I also have the Unity Pro license. On my IOS device the realtime shadows work fine. On the desktop shadows work fine. Just switched this project over to build Android and no joy with realtime shadows. I only have the Galaxy Note 3 and a Nexus 7. So I have yet to see Realtime hard shadows on Android. I understand that they won't work on the Nexus 7.

From your reply I assume others have seen working shadows specifically on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. So I will keep looking for something. $$anonymous$$y guess is when I switched the build type from IOS to Android some setting got "confused". I did notice one or two other "corrupted" settings when I changed the build type.

I don't have a Note 3 at hand, but I'd try this:

Start a new simple project to test shadows, if they are are there (or not) it will narrow down the issue.

Good luck!

I just downloaded new version of Unity(4.3.1f1) and still cannot work out the shadows. I've tried many combinations of settings: hard/soft shadows, different cascades/shadow resolution, changing shadow distance, mobile/standard shaders... nothing. Normal mapped materials work fine and quite fast on Note3, I'm sure it can handle shadows as well (I have them in other games like Real Racing 3), but I have no idea what to do to enable them in Unity.

Still no luck. I created the most basic project I can think of. Start fresh project in Unity add a plane and a cube, no other modifications to default settings other than set build type to Android. Here are two images, one in the player and one from my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. No shadow from the cube in the image from the Note 3. Not sure what else to do.

I recently also tried on Unity Pro version, even on deffered rendering and spotlights, still there are no shadows on device, only in editor

I know it's been a couple of months, but I have this issue too. I have shadows on my Galaxy S3, but my colleague doesn't when testing on his Note 3.

Anybody got a solution for this?

I tried 4.3.4f1, the problem still exists. But the issue tracker said the issue is fixed.

It looks like the problem was the same as in this answer.

Unfortunately, this still does not work for me. If anyone has a solution, please post a step by step $$anonymous$$imal guide.
