Mecanim, my object deforms when I put my own animations!

Hello

I have made a model and put the bot animations on it and worked fine but when I made some animations some of them worked and other gave me this shape in the attached image any ideas what to do?

Click the animation file you're using and select 'Rig' at the top of the inspector.

Make sure that:

  1. Animation Type is 'Humanoid' Avatar

  2. Definition is 'Copy From Other Avatar'

  3. Source is 'DefaultAvatarAvatar'

That last one is the one that fixed a similar problem I had. I thought I needed to change this to the avatar in my game, but it needs to be the "Source" avatar. Meaning the avatar the animations were created from.

In this case, the tutorial's model.
