Unity feasibility doubts.

Hi,

We are developing a game similar to clash of clan in unity. We have a requirement to render max 300 characters in a game play. We need to support ipad2+ and iphone. Each character has 900 vertices, but only 70 different types of characters.

Is this feasible in unity? Using proper techniques?

In worst case we are planing to render characters using CoC like 2d toolkit animations.

Any comments / suggestion?

There is no problem in Unity doing that but the performance of the device might be a problem. Just do some quick performance tests before you really start developing your game. Take a look at batching if you haven't already: http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/$$anonymous$$anual/DrawCallBatching.html
