Unity Material ID Cap

I have a large building to unwrap in the next few days and I'm wondering if there is a limit to the number of Material ID's Unity will accept?

There's a limit, depending on what sort of variable type they used for the material array index. It's not a limit you'd ever actually hit though. If they used a 16-bit int, for example, it would be about 65K.

Nice! Thanks for the reply :) The mesh is going to be around 50k polys so I was going to need about 30-50 ID's I figure. I know 3DS $$anonymous$$ax allows for at least 300 IDs but I wasn't sure about Unity.
