Problem with downloaded scripts

I've Downloaded some scripts from the SUnity Asset tore and Forums but when i insert them into the game, i get an error that the script has not finished compiling or that there is an error. WHY?

And can anybody help me fix this. I am running on a windows 8 computer and have Unity version 4.2. Can it be the program or is it that unity does not run well on windows 8. Please Reply i need some help fixing this.

Unity runs just fine on Windows 8. "Script not finished compiling" is normally because there's an error in it. What are the scripts from the store that you're trying to use?
