Question by golemsmk · Nov 29, 2013 at 05:14 AM · 2dsprite

[Unity 4.3] A problem with loading the multiple-sprite.

Yeah, now I am developing a small 2D game. I imported my a Walking sprite and sliced it into lots of small sprite inside it by Unity's Sprite Editor. However, I don't know how to call them - the "child" sprite? For example, inside the Walking sprite, I have Walking_1, Walking_2, Walking_3,... sprites that I can drag-and-drop very easy, but there is no way I can load it throught the script. When I get their path, every single of them, the log only shows me the path of their "parent" sprite :

"Asset/Resources/Image/Move/Walking". Nothing else.

I know people often use animation to solve this problem, but that is not exactly what I want to do. I need a way that I can load what sprite I want directly, not by using animation.

For simple, I need a path that I can use it with Resources.Load() function to load "children" sprite.

Someone, please help me.

I posted the same question. http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/575521/load-unityenginesprite-from-code.html Here is some answer

 Sprite[] textures = Resources.LoadAll<Sprite>("Textures");
 string[] names = new string[textures.Length];

 for(int ii=0; ii< names.Length; ii++) {
 names[ii] = textures[ii].name;
 }

 Sprite sprite = textures[Array.IndexOf(names, "textureName")];

but I don't like it too.

Somebody know answer with Resources.Load() ?
