Importing geometry normals and reflections

Hi, Im importing some geometry via 3dsMax and an fbx. The geometry normals on the low poly box have been modified with the EditNormal modifier to point in the world axis, ie straight up/down, left/right, forward/back and the box is not rotated. The image shows the two boxes in 3dsM![alt text][1]ax on top and the green lines on the left box are the geometry normals. The bottom image shows the two boxes in Unity and the reflection is pinching across the chamfered face which looks nasty, circled in red.
It should look similar to the box on the right because the normals should be getting interpolated.

My import settings are set to Import normals and calculate Tangents, mesh compression is off.

Any help/suggestions on how to fix this or what might be causing it would be appreciated
