Making a gameobject animate(?) towards player

What I'm trying to do is this. I have a page I want my player to collect. When he clicks the page, I want the page to move up to the character so that it floats in front of the camera so the person playing can read it. Then on click again, to move down towards the right hand part of the screen.

Now I believe I would use Vector3.MoveTowards. or Lerp. But I just need some kind of path to follow. (: Explanation so I understand what I'm trying to do. This is what I have so far:

     ray = Camera.main.ScreenPointToRay(Input.mousePosition);
     if(Input.GetMouseButtonDown(0)){
         if (Physics.Raycast(ray, hit, 100))

          Debug.Log( "ray hit (tag): " + hit.collider.gameObject.tag );
          if(hit.collider.gameObject.tag == "page")
          {  
                 
          }
             
         }
             
     }
 }
