Retargeting a lot of characters

Hello,

I am a newbie with mecanim of Unity. Now I have a question when I make a Zoo-style game, and I can't find the answer:

_If I have a human model with .fbx extention, and it has skeleton, weight, and animation, then can I retarget it to a angle model? That angle model not only has the skeletons, weight just like the human model, but also has the wing's skeletons, and does not have the animation, so is there any problem when I retarget it?

_The same question, but if I have a full adult model, with skeleton, weight and animation, is there any problem if I retarget it to a child model, with a complete difference of the body size?

_ So if that's not a child model, but a kingkong model (because they have a very similar body form with the human, only differen about the ratios of body's parts, for example, their "hand" is longer than their "leg"). Can I retarget it? Same question with others species which have the same body form but differen about the ratios, and they are not have the human-skeleton-form, for example: dolphin-whale-shark, snake-cobra, lobster-crab, seagulls-eagle,...

Thanks for reading!
