Failure to generate ETC textures

Question

Hi,

I've just upgraded unity from 4.1.5 to 4.2.2, i keep getting this error.

I even tried the latest version but still same error.

It is caused by some virus. Try to Install your windows again. It was solved in my case.

Hi. I had the same problem.

In my case, the problem was in virus. I downloaded USB drivers, but it was very bad virus (including advertising in top of each browser window). So, it wasn't Unity problem - after reinstalling Windows - now all is fine.
