Blender to unity issue

Hello, I'm using Blender version 2.57b. I downloaded a fixed export script, and I get a correct preview in the fbx import screen on unity. The problem is, when I drag the mesh (naught but an 8 vert cube) into the scene, no geometry shows up. I have not touched any texture settings in blender, I don't believe the cube even has a default texture. I set and reset the normals.
