Modify dynamically generated object when you click on it (in code)

Hello:

I have a data structure which one cube (game object) as an element. Like this:

 public class BoardElement : MonoBehaviour {
 
 public Vector3 positionCoordinates;
 public int terrainLevel;
 public GameObject gamePiece;
 
 public BoardElement (Vector3 pos, int tLevel){
     this.terrainLevel = tLevel;
     this.gamePiece = GameObject.CreatePrimitive(PrimitiveType.Cube);
     this.gamePiece.name = "gamePiece";
     this.gamePiece.transform.position = pos;
   }
 
 }

Now, I create a two dimensional array (matrix) which is filled with objects of this structure.

My question is:

Because I have all the objects generated dynamically, how do I control when the user clicks on them.

In particular: I want to scale down the cubes I click. If I had created an object in the GUI of Unity and attached an script (with MouseDown for example) could be easily done. But because I don't have nothing in the GUI previous of the execution of the main script, I can't do it.

Any idea of how to solve this?
