Question by Noktai · Jan 19, 2014 at 02:47 AM · animationclipanimationcurve4.3

Add gameobject in animation frame

I'm wondering if it's possible to add a gameobject in an animation frame in unity 4.3. I'm working with unity's sprites. Kind of like you can change the values of your animated gameobject with "add curves". Instead I don't want to change existing values, I want to add a new gameobject for the keyframe(s).

Pretty much how it is done in adobe flash.

$$anonymous$$ight be able to pass an object reference to an AnimationEvent that does something like instantiate GameObject

I was considering this, but unfortunately I would then miss out on all the cool "curve" options and the general representation of the object in the editor.

Presumambly the object would be a prefab as such you'd have access to it in the Editor as a prefab?

Yeah I can acces the prefab's properties. But since the gameobject in the animation event is instantiated at runtime I won't be able to see it in the editor.
