Question by Baalhug · Feb 03, 2014 at 05:19 PM · cameraguiscalezoom

Is there a way to zoom GUI and scene at the same time?

Hi, guys:

As the title says, is there a way to zoom GUI objects and the rest of objects in scene keeping the scale between them? Or should i calculate using FOV (camera is ortographic) and gui scaling? In that case zooming to or from a relative point may be a pain. Do you figure out something? TY in advance.

I´ve seen this problem posted in other questions, like this one: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/15252/zoom-out-in-orthographic-view.html

Still no solution yet

If you want to scale your GUI components (for instance when your app is running on mobile phones and GUI objects are hard to read) you can do it by using $$anonymous$$atrix4x4. I actually found a way to scale fonts proportionally too.

Now that only applies to GUI. So if you want to scale the gameobjects you can use Field of View of the Camera, or in my case (ortographic camera) you can change Size.

But i cant find a way to scale (or zoom) both content keeping the proportions, or keeping rate, if you understand.
