Question by Araja89 · Feb 20, 2014 at 10:40 PM · script error

Can you see an error in my code?

I was following the beginners tutorial, the Roll-a-ball one, and got to the part where I add a script for player input. I followed the tutorial exactly, however when I attempt to 'play' using the script, I get a compiler error. Can anyone help? The script I use is as follows:

using UnityEngine; using System.Collections;

public class PlayerControl : MonoBehaviour { void FixedUpdate () { float moveHorizontal = Input.GetAxis("Horizontal"); float moveVertical = Input.GetAxis("Vertical");

     Vector3 movement = new Vector3 (moveHorizontal, 0.0f,moveVertical);

     Rigidbody.Addforce (movement);
 }

}

Please do the following for this and future posts

  1. Format code using 10101 button

  2. Always include the line# and error, not a generic 'I get an error'

Your last Rigidbody might need to be rigidbody/lowercase

And the you need an upper case 'F' in AddForce:

 rigidbody.AddForce (movement);

Just to close this out, change last line to:

rigidbody.AddForce(movement)

Thanks robertbu
