Mech Movement/Camera Help

I have tried t$$anonymous$$s on my own for weeks with no luck. I had posted some code in another question that was getting there (but still way off) with no right answer, but I t$$anonymous$$nk I need to start from scratch again.

I am making a mech game and need movement help.

I am using java script but any help will greatly be appreciated

WHAT I WANT TO DO:

1) I would like to have my legs move with the wasd keys. (Not to hard)

2) I want to have the (top half of the mech/1st person camera) to always try to center on the mouse x,z at a slow rate, but stop moving once reached the mouse x,z.

3) When I click middle mouse button the (camera/top half of mech) snap back to the original position.

4) When I hold "Tab" I want the (top half of mech/camera) to stop moving but still be able to move the cursor around.

So I know t$$anonymous$$s is a lot and will need to be tackled in sections but I wanted to go over all the movement I want so if I get an answer for one of the t$$anonymous$$ngs it will all work together when I get them all figured out and put together.

I am not looking for someone to make my game for me, I just need some direction and a good foundation. I have also read quite a lot of tuts and documentation, its just hard to get what will apply to t$$anonymous$$s and what is just extra stuff I don't need. I know the basics of programing (loops, functions, if statements ect...) so I should be able to follow someones code with a little explanation.

Let me know if you t$$anonymous$$nk t$$anonymous$$s needs to be in a forum or should be split up. I just put it all here so you can get a picture of what I am trying to do.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP!
