Rebounding Hinge Joint 2D

Basically, I've been trying to attach a object to a character object with a Hinge Joint 2D component; so that when the c$$anonymous$$ld object collides against another object, it will bend at an angle depending on the angle it collides with until it moves away from the object and pulls back/springs to the position it was at without rotating. Is there any way to do t$$anonymous$$s with a 2D $$anonymous$$nge joint or should I be using somet$$anonymous$$ng else?
