Failed to Create Unity Loader

I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to run the Unity player for several days. every time i try to open something that needs the webplayer it says "Failed to Create Unity Loader" I’ve done everything that should logically be done in this situation.

  • I’ve updated my OS to OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)

  • I’ve tried in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari (all updated to the latest versions)

  • I’ve tried to run games via this site and directly on 3rd party sites

  • I’ve deleted and reinstalled the plugin at least a dozen times, emptying trash, closing browsers, and restarting in between. I am logged in with an admin account.

some help?

I'd check that you have /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/Unity\ Web\ Player.plugin/ and that it contains an Info.plist and the Frameworks folder is not empty. Also, I am not on $$anonymous$$avericks, but maybe plugins are blocked by default?

hi Graham, i checked and the webplayer.plugin contains the info.plist and the frameworks folder has 2 files inside, the Stablemono3.x.x-i386.bundle and the Stableunityplayer3.x.x-i386.bundle the plugin worked since some days ago on $$anonymous$$avericks, and i checked that the plugins are not blocked :/

would you happen to be exporting to an external hard-drive or USB flash drive? Ive noticed, myself, having a few issues trying to export to non internal locations. Just a thought :)
